Additional safety instructions
WARNING! Sanding may produce harm-
ful dusts (e.g. metals or some types of wood)
that may be hazardous to the operator or
nearby persons. Make sure that the work-
place is well ventilated. Always wear safety
goggles, safety gloves and respiratory pro-
tection.
• Only use grinding tools recommended by
the manufacturer. Do not use saw blades.
Ensure that the dimensions match those
of the tool.
• Use grinding discs that correspond to the
permissible diameter.
• Always ensure that the bench grinder is
stable and secure (e.g. fixed to a work-
bench).
• Never operate the tool without spark
guard or protective hoods. Adjust the
spark guard and workpiece support peri-
odically to compensate for wear on the
grinding disc.
• Keep the distance between the spark
guard/workpiece support and grinding
disc as small as possible and never great-
er than 2°mm.
• Replace the worn grinding disc if these
distances can no longer be maintained.
• Make sure that the sparks produced by
grinding do not present a danger, e.g.
reach people or ignite flammable sub-
stances.
• Always wear safety goggles, safety
gloves, respiratory protection and ear
protection when grinding.
• Never keep the fingers between the
grinding disc and spark guard or in close
proximity to the protective hoods. There
is a risk of crushing.
• The rotating parts of the tool cannot be
covered due to functional reasons. There-
fore, proceed cautiously and hold the
workpiece firmly in order to avoid slipping
which could cause your hands to come
into contact with the grinding disc.
• The workpiece becomes hot during grind-
ing. Do not touch the machined area,
allow it to cool down. There is a risk of
burns. Do not use coolants or the like.
• Do not work with the tool if you are tired
or have consumed alcohol or tablets. Al-
ways have a break on time.
• Switch off the tool and unplug the mains
plug
24
• to loosen a blocked attachment tool,
• if the cord is damaged or entangled,
• in case of unusual sounds.
• Always use the power tool with attach-
ment tools on both spindles to limit the
risk of contact with the rotating spindle.
• Always use the protective hood, work-
piece support, viewing window and spark
arrester as required for the attachment
tools.
• Replace any damaged or heavily worn
grinding discs.
• Adjust the workpiece support so that the
angle between the workpiece support
and attachment tool is always greater
than 85°.
• Keep power cords and extension cords
away from the grinding disc. If they are
damaged or cut through, immediately pull
the plug from the outlet. Do not touch
the cord before it has been disconnected
from the power supply. There is a danger
of electric shock.
• Connect the device only to a power out-
let with a residual current device (RCD)
of rated residual current no more than
30 mA.
• If the power cord of this device is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, their customer service or by a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid
hazards. contact the service centre.
• Only use accessories recommended by
PARKSIDE. Unsuitable accessories may
cause electric shock or fire.

is worn.
• Lung damage if suitable respiratory pro-
tection is not worn.
• Hearing damage if suitable ear protection
is not worn.
• Health injuries resulting from the effect of
hand/arm vibration in the event that the
tool is used over a longer period of time
or is not used and maintained properly.
