Side effects

If the Sweat Killer is used improperly it is possible that you will experience a small
electric shock when suddenly introducing those parts of the body being treated
into the current-carrying water bath or removing them from the current carrying
water bath.

During treatment, shooting or tingling type of discomfort may occur on the
current-carrying areas of skin depending on the level of voltage.

If the current setting is too high, a painful sensation may be experienced in all
extremities being treated.

A possible increase in sweating can occur during the course of initial treatments
but this will decrease spontaneously during subsequent treatments.

The skin in the treatment area can exhibit signs of drying-out such as dandruff or
small cracks in the skin. In such cases it is recommended to apply a wax protective
and skin caring cream or ointment.

Immediately subsequent to a treatment session there often occurs a reddening
of the skin in the treatment area and occasionally the incidence of blisters. This
reverts to normal. These occurrences can be decreased by reducing the current
level. But these skin disorders must be completely healed before re-using the
Sweat Killer. If serious skin disorders occur you should always consult your doctor
before re-starting treatment.

The immersion of metal objects (jewellery, wrist watches etc.) in the current-
carrying water bath, or allowing the skin to come into direct contact with the
current - carrying electrodes can cause the problems described above. This can
be prevented by strictly removing all metal objects and covering the electrodes
with insulating sponge pads.

Any injuries to the skin must be covered with Vaseline to insulate them from the
flow of current.
