• Never split logs in horizontal position or against the direction of the
fiber.
• Observe the safety, working, and maintenance instructions of the
manufacturer, as well as the dimensions given in the chapter Techni-
cal data.
• The applicable accident prevention regulations as well as all generally
recognized safety rules must be adhered to.
• Only persons who have been trained in the use of the machine and
have been informed of the various dangers may work with the ma-
chine and service or repair it. Arbitrary modifications of the machine
release the manufacturer from any responsibility for resulting damage.
• The machine may only be used with original accessories and original
tools of the manufacturer.
• Any other use exceeds authorization. The manufacturer is not respon-
sible for any damages resulting from unauthorized use; risk is the sole
