Roast
-
Roasting meat in the slow cooker makes it more tender, tasty and easier to slice. The long,
slow and covered cooking processes cause the meat's nerves to break down, so the results
of the meat dishes are very satisfactory.
-
It is not necessary to add liquids for roasting. When cooking braised meat, it is necessary
to add a minimum of liquid. Place the meat to be grilled on a heat-resistant plate inside
the pot so that the meat does not come into contact with the fat produced by the cooking
process itself.

Cooking vegetables
-
One of the characteristics of slow cooking is that vegetables are generally cooked much
more slowly than meat. Most vegetables should be cut into small pieces, placed close to
the walls and as close as possible to the base of the ceramic bowl.
-
Place the meat on top of the vegetables. Carrots should be peeled and placed where they
will be completely covered in liquid. Defrost the vegetables before adding them to the rest
of the ingredients.
Pasta and rice
When cooking recipes with tagliatelle, macaroni, etc., cook the pasta until slightly tender and
then place it in the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes of cooking time. When cooking rice, mix
it with the rest of the ingredients and add 1/4 cup of liquid for every 1/4 cup of rice. Use long
grain rice for best results.
Herbs and spices
Most commonly, whole leaves, herbs or spices are used. It is recommended to use half the
indicated quantity, as they have a very strong flavour. When using dried or ground herbs or

spices, add them during the last hour of cooking. Always taste and season recipes before
serving.
Milk and cream
Both milk and cream are often cut during long cooking processes. If possible, add these
ingredients during the last hour of cooking.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Recommendation:
Always disconnect the cooker from the mains before cleaning. Never immerse the cooker body,
cord or plug in water or other liquids. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Before cleaning:
-
Make sure that the cooker is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
-
Allow all parts of the pot to cool completely. To prevent damage to the glass lid or bowl,
avoid extreme temperature changes, direct heat or sudden cooling.
Cleaning the ceramic bowl and glass lid
-
Remove the ceramic bowl and glass lid. Clean the ceramic bowl and glass lid with soap and
warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
-
To get rid of stubborn stains and food residues from the ceramic bowl, fill it 2/3 full of
warm water with soap and leave it to soak. Rinse and dry well.
