VII. Maintenance
Before carrying out the maintenance operations, lock out/tag out the X'COMP® with a padlock or a multilock by installing it in the place provided for
that purpose with the door open. Maintenance must be carried out at least once a month by an operator. Clean the X' C OMP® periodically to remove any
deposits of dust, earth, etc.
Clean the following parts: Columns, Stay rod clamp, Cylinder seal. Clean the cylinder seal if there are any traces of hydrocarbons. Check that the locking
bar slides correctly. Check the condition of the stay rod clamp. Replace the stay rod clamp immediately in the following cases: Signs of wear, Cracks,
Folded parts
Never use grease, oil, detergents or any other corrosive products on the cylinder or on the slide columns.
VIII. Special cases
The X'COMP only functions with a lubricated fi ltered air network. When air is present, the door is locked and the operator cannot open it. If
the air network fails when the door is locked and the equipment is in its compression or decompression phase, please call the SAM Outillage

The X'COMP® is not designed for fork-shaped stay rods. It is therefore not possible
to remove this type of shock absorber and spring assembly.
Generally speaking, the X'COMP is recommended for Macpherson-type shock absorbers. Some models are not supported:

shock absorbers that cannot be removed.

My shock absorber's cup has studs
SPECIAL CASE 2:
My shock absorber's stay rod is coupled with a fork
SOLUTION :
Reposition/Screw the fastener nuts into contact on the studs to be able
to proceed
SOLUTION :
Remove the fork from the stay rod before proceeding. To do this, you
are advised to use the suspension fl ange spreader (3269)
