Installation steps
1. Use the compression fitting on the medium pressure hose assembly
to establish a connection between the low pressure regulator and the
piping of the vehicle (right-hand thread). Tighten the connections firmly.
2. Install the medium pressure hose assembly G 1/4 LH KN to the outlet
connector
of the low pressure regulator.
3. Screw the inlet connector
gas cylinder valve. Left-hand thread! Observe the installation position on
page 15!
4. Raise the pressure regulator slightly above the cylinder valve.
5. Open the height-adjustable support
extend the feet and adjust on the gas cylinder, then close the clamping
screw
again. This prevents an excessive loading or bending of the
connections.
6.
The feet of the support must rest evenly on the gas
cylinder. Do not install if the feet of the support
cannot be used, e.g. if the housing is placed on the
gas cylinder; or its components (shroud)!
Tighten the wing nut on the cylinder valve. The installation
is to be carried out with the suitable tools. Use the
GOK MiniTool for small cylinder connectors with wing nut.
When making screw connections, always brace against the connection nozzle.
LEAK CHECK
Serious burns to the skin or damage to property.
Do not use an open flame to check for leaks.
The liquefied gas unit must be checked for leaks by an expert* before the first start-up, during
checking and maintenance work, before the re-start and after important changes and repair
work. The simplified leak testing process does not replace the pressure and leak testing of the
LPG system by a professional. *See USER QUALIFICATION!
Simplified leak testing
1. Close all shut-off fittings on the gas appliance.
2. Activate the crash sensor pendulum:
by pushing the green crash sensor pendulum push button (see
START-UP, page 22).
3. Slowly open the withdrawal valve or the gas cylinder valve.
4. Spray the compression fitting(s) of the hose assembly/assemblies
on the gas cylinder valve, on the product and other components
with foaming agent in accordance with EN 14291 (e.g. leak detector
spray, part no. 02 601 00).
5. Check the product connection for leaks, bubbles will form
in the foam producing substance if there are any leaks.
you cannot stop the leaks, you must not use the product.
Observe EN 1949.
