9.1 Setting the cutting height (Fig. 5)
ATTENTION
The cutting height may only be adjusted
when the engine is shut off.
WARNING
Danger of injury!
To switch off the product, switch off the motor, wait for it
to stop, remove the battery and pull out the safety key.
• In dense, tall grass, set the highest cutting level and
mow more slowly. A high cutting height should be se-
lected for the first cut of the season. Adjust the cutting
height so that the product is not overloaded.
• Set the cutting height depending on the actual length
of the lawn.
• Carry out several passes so that a maximum of 4 cm
of lawn is removed at a time.

The cutting height is adjusted via the cutting height ad-
justment lever (11).
1. Pull the cutting height adjustment lever (11) outwards.
2. Move the cutting height adjustment lever (11) to the
desired position.
3. Release the cutting height adjustment lever (11)
again. The lever locks into the desired position.

Inserting the battery
1. Move the product into the parking position.
2. Open the cover (8).
3. Push the battery (17) into the battery mount (18). The
battery (17) clicks into place audibly.
4. Close the cover (8).
Removing the battery
1. Move the product into the parking position.
2. Open the cover (8).
3. Press the unlock button (16) of the battery (17) and
remove it from the battery mount (18).
4. Close the cover (8).
9.3 Preparing the area to be mowed
1. Before mowing, carefully examine the area.
2. Remove stones, sticks, bones, wires, toys and other
objects that may be ejected by the product.

3. Ensure that no other people are present on the sur-
face to be mowed.
10 Operation
The manoeuvrable battery-powered lawnmower has a
cutting tool that rotates parallel to the cutting plane. The
product height can be adjusted at 3 levels.
Please refer to the following descriptions for the function
of the controls.
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying
out any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, tool
change, etc.) and when transporting and storing it.
There is a risk of injury if the on/off switch is operated
unintentionally.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
ATTENTION
The product is part of the 20V IXES series and may on-
ly be operated with batteries of this series. Batteries
may only be charged with battery chargers of this se-
ries. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.

• Position the Product on a straight, level surface.
10.1 Safety-related shut-down points

Note:
The product is equipped with safety equipment and can-
not be started if the handle is in the parking position or the
product is raised.
If the product is running and the handle is moved into one
of the two positions, the product stops automatically.
To start it up again, move the handle to the operating po-
sition or put the product down on the ground.
Parking position (approx. -15°-32°)

10.2 Switching the product on/off

Switching on
1. Move the product into the parking position.
2. Insert the safety key (4) into the designated opening
on the handle (1).
3. Turn the safety key (4).
4. Take the handle (1) in your hand and turn it towards
you in order to move the fork (7) from the parking po-
sition into the operating position.
5. To switch it on, actuate the switch-on lock (3) and hold
it while pushing the on/off switch (2) towards the han-
dle (1).
After the product has started, you can release the switch-
on interlock again.
