6.4 Safety features
Pan detection
If the induction unit cannot detect any appropriate cookware within 60 seconds, it will switch off automatically.
Safety shutdown
The induction unit turns off automatically after 2 hours without active operation.
Double overheating protection
If the cookware overheats e.g., when it is heated while empty, or if the device overheats due to insufficient air
circulation, the appliance switches off automatically.
Electronic switch-off in case of error
The microprocessor is equipped with an error monitoring function (watchdog). If a software error occurs, it
switches off automatically and reloads the data. This ensures error-free operation.
7 Cleaning
Danger!
Pull the plug out of the socket before each cleaning.
Danger!
Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the power cord in water or other liquids and never spray
water directly onto them. Do not clean it in the dishwasher. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the
appliance.
Risk of burns or injury!
Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it.
- Clean the appliance immediately after every use.
- Wipe the glass ceramic surface as well as the housing with soft cloth only, slightly moistened if needed.
Afterwards, dry these parts off thoroughly.
- In case of stubborn residues on the glass ceramic surface, use our Formular SPRING Cleaner and a suitable
scraper if necessary. Note the instructions for use on our Formular SPRING Cleaners.
- Do not use any abrasive utensils or materials or aggressive cleaning products to clean the appliance or its
components.
- Clean the openings for air supply and outgoing air regularly with a soft cleaning brush.
- Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or putting it away.
