6 Operation
6.1 Function
A high frequency induction coil (20-35 kHz) is located immediately beneath the ceramic surface and heats the
cookware placed on the surface. This way the heat is generated in the cookware only. This makes it possible
to cook very efficiently, as there is little loss of heat between the induction cooktop and the cookware. Induction
reacts immediately. The heat is produced in seconds after the induction unit is switched on and diminishes
just as quickly after it is switched off. This can be best compared with cooking on a gas stove.
6.2 Use
Risk of burns or injury!
Heat grease or oil slowly and under supervision only to avoid overheating. Overheated oil/grease can
ignite spontaneously. Fire hazard. Do not extinguish burning oil/grease with water.

Do not touch the glass ceramic plate immediately after use. The surface is hot due to the residual
heat from the cookware.
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat and heat-resistant surface, according to chapter 5.1 Installation site
requirements.
- Ensure that the device stands plane on all 4 feet, that the grease filter is properly inserted on the underside
of the device and that the openings for air supply and outgoing air are not covered.
- Plug the cord into a suitable socket according to chapter 14 Technical specifications.
- Place suitable cookware or serving dishes on the glass ceramic surface according to chapter 5.3 Cookware /
Serving dishes. The circular marking is for your orientation to activate the pot detection.
6.2.1 Induction unit 2.5kW 58 9630 25 01
- Keep the ON/COOK button pressed to switch on the appliance. The control lamp COOK lights up. The control
lamp HEATING lights up when suitable cookware is detected and is being heated.
- You can select the temperature with regulator knop between 60 °C and 220 °C.
- To switch to keep warm function, press the HOLD button. To select the temperature, press the HOLD button
again. The control lamp HOLD blinks until the set temperature has reached, afterwards it lights permanently.
- To change back to cook function, press the ON/COOK button.
- After use switch off the appliance by pressing OFF button. Pull the plug from the socket and let the appliance
cool down completely.
