When connected to a Copper PIM, the LEDs indicate the following:

Earth Cable

Use this to earth Trend Multipro during the Longitudinal Balance and Metal-
lic tests.

Probes and Line Pair Connector Cables

Probes
There are two types of probe:
Active: This probe has red line connectors.
•
Passive: This probe has black line connectors.
•
Note: Both probes MUST be connected for correct operation of certain
tests (See Connection Diagrams on page 13 onwards.) For other tests, the
Passive probe does not need to be connected to the PIM.
The following is an example of an Active Probe.

Meaning
Red (Flashing) = Battery Low
Green = Charging
Dim Green = Charging complete, charger connect to mains sup-
ply.
Off = No charger connected, battery normal.
Green (Flashing) = Transponder is synchronising
Green = Transponder is connected
Off = No Transponder is connected
Alarm Off = No Alarms
Red (Flashing) = DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE ON LINE
Not used
Green = Tester On
Off = Tester off
Wireless (not used)
