Transponder Batteries
The Transponder is supplied with 4 AA size, high capacity Alkaline dry cell
batteries. Always replace with a complete set of similar batteries when
necessary. We do not recommend using rechargeable batteries.
Safety Advice
For general battery safety information, see the battery safety advice in the
Main Reference Guide.
Storing the Transponder
If your Transponder is to be left unused for more than 3 months, you should
remove the batteries.
Removing the Transponder Batteries

1. Switch the Transponder off.
2. Remove the protective rubber case.
3. Push on the rectangle and slide the battery cover downwards, in
the direction of the arrow, to remove the cover.
4. Remove all the batteries.

Remove cable plugs from RJ-11 Line Connectors 1 and
2 and the EARTH REF connector BEFORE removing
the battery cover.
