Positioning and lowering the pilot arm

ROSCRAPER 315:
 Press and hold the catch (1) and move the pilot arm in direction (2). Then release the catch
(1).
 Loosen the handle (3) with one turn and press the pilot arm down until the peeling blade
makes contact with the pipe surface.

Note the indicator on the blade holder

The blade holder features an indicator pin. When the contact pressure on the pipe surface is in-
creased, the indicator pin rises. When the pressure is sufficient, the upper end of the indicator
pin should be at the level of the frame of the peeling blade holder.
Attention! Always make sure that the blade holder is not fully compressed. Only then the
spring in the blade holder will push the peeler blade forcefully enough against the pipe
surface to peel flat spots!

Manual peeling procedure

After the preparations and the installation have taken place, the peeling process can be started.
Preconditions: The tool is installed.
The pilot arm is not yet lowered (only for ROSCRAPER 400).
