The tool is clamped in the pipe using a scissor mechanism. This mechanism can be continuous-
ly expanded by holding the expander support and turning the handle on the spindle (ROS-
CRAPER 315) or turning the locked peeling arm (ROSCRAPER 400). After determining how far
the tool must be inserted into the pipe to peel the desired area, it can be expanded and
clamped. Then the piloting arm is lowered and the peeling blade is pressed against the pipe sur-
face. After the piloting arm has been fixed, the peeling process can be carried out by turning the
handle on the arm.

Installation

Danger of cutting. When handling the tool there is a risk of cuts by the peeling blade!

Wear cut-resistant gloves and long-sleeved clothing.
-
Avoid touching the peeling blade with your bare hands.
All persons involved in the assembly and installation must have read and understood this in-
struction manual and in particular all safety instructions.
All safety instructions in this instruction manual and the generally applicable measures for acci-
dent prevention must be adhered to.
Requirement:
-
The safety instructions are observed.
-
The outer diameter of the pipe was measured to prevent from peeling the pipe to much
(under nominal diameter).
-
The pipe surface was cleaned and foreign objects were removed.
-
The area to be peeled was marked with an approved marking pen.
-
There is at least a space of 20 cm around the pipe.

Preparation

Perform the following actions to return the tool to its initial position.
ROSCRAPER 315:
 Loosen the knob (1).
 Bring the pilot arm all the way up (2).
 Tighten the knob (1) to lock the pilot arm.
 Press and hold the catch (3) and move the pilot arm with the catch holder in direction (4) up
to one thread towards the T-handle.
 Release the catch (3).
The Pipe End Peeler is in its basic position.
ROSCRAPER 400:
 Loosen the knob (1).
 Bring the pilot arm all the way up (2).
 Tighten the knob (1) to lock the pilot arm.
 Press and hold the catch (3) and move the pilot arm with the catch holder in direction (4) un-
til it is fully inserted into the recess.
 Release the catch (3).
