Depending on the situation in which you allow the glider to fly again a
violent response may result (shooting forward with a heightened risk
of collapse). The canopy can be stabilised with coordinated brake
action as it shoots forward. Normal flight can then be re-established
without causing further collapsing.
Tip: Basically you should immediately release both brakes
completely in all out-of-control flight situations, but especially
at the onset of spinning behaviour.
Full stall
EPSILON 6 brake effect and resistance starts early, but the brake
travel is very long. This gives the pilot a high safety margin.
Entry to the full stall is achieved by progressive symmetrical applica-
tion of both brakes. This action reduces the forward speed. Airspeed
and wind noise reduce. After reaching minimum speed the glider
goes relatively gently into a brief phase of deep stall. Further appli-
cation of brake causes the airflow to completely break away from
the wing, and the glider will fall back in full stall. Even though the
EPSILON 6 has a strong desire to resume normal flight it can be
nicely held in a stalled condition. Under certain circumstances it
makes sense to take a brake wrap when flying full stalls.
To recover, the canopy must be pre-inflated over its entire span.
To do this the brakes must first be slowly released and then fully
released when the wing is completely inflated. The EPSILON 6
recovers relatively gently without excessive surging (shooting
forward).
Tip: Basically you should release both brakes completely in
all out-of-control flight situations.
Deep stall
The EPSILON 6 has not been seen to go into stable deep stall by
itself. The glider can, however, be brought into deep stall by means
of the brakes, and kept there. Be aware that the transition into deep
stall is gentle and can happen almost imperceptibly. The glider will
recover by itself as soon as the brake lines are fully released. Like any
paraglider the EPSILON 6 will be more prone to deep stall if it gets
wet or flies in rain. See also section «Flying with a wet paraglider».

Landing

Always make a proper landing circuit with a defined final approach.
As the ground approaches progressively increase brake to level the flight-
path, before applying full brake to completely arrest the forward speed.
