4. Regenerating salt
The system may only be used with salt tablets made from high-purity evaporated salt (NaCl) in ac-
cordance with DIN 19604 DIN EN 973 type A. (degree of purity)
The use of other salts is not permitted. (Road salt, crushed salt) can lead to soiling of the system and
cause considerable damage. Please use only regenerating salt.
5. Hazard warnings
Danger from electrical energy – risk of electric shock!
Always disconnect the mains plug before working on the system!
If cable insulation or electrical components are damaged, they must be replaced immediately.
Danger due to water pressure!
Before working on the system, always depressurise and drain the water from the mounting block. To
do this, first close the outer valves, then open the centre bypass valve.
Danger due to contamination!
Adjust the system to the actual water consumption to ensure a sufficient flow rate. If the system is
not used for a longer period of time, it must be properly decommissioned by a specialised company.
Do not deactivate forced regeneration under any circumstances.
6. Maintenance / Service
The system should be checked regularly by the operator to ensure that it is working properly. Annual
maintenance by a specialised company is recommended to ensure technically perfect functioning –
based on DIN 1988 Part 8.
Defects or malfunctions must be rectified immediately.
The operator must ensure that there is always a sufficient amount of salt in the system to guarantee
the proper functioning of the system.
7. Storage and transport
The system may only be transported in its original packaging. Storage must be frost-free, away from
strong heat sources and upright. Pay attention to the positioning direction indicated on the outer
packaging.
