We recommend blending via the mounting block. The result is more accurate.
Check the water hardness at a tapping point (sampling tap on the mounting block) near the system
using a water hardness measuring set (titration solution).
Leave the water running continuously at the tap. Only measure the water hardness with cold water
(hot water is fed through the heater and only gradually becomes softer).
Depending on the distance to the tap, it may take some time before the newly blended water hard-
ness can be measured. (Therefore, please measure directly at the sampling tap on the mounting
block)
Adjust the blended water hardness to 6-8 °dH.
It is best to run a nearby tap half open and adjust the water hardness. Depending on the water hard-
ness and pressure conditions, it may be necessary to blend the valve and the mounting block at the
same time.
