4. Regeneration Salt
The system may only be used with salt tablets made from highly pure evaporated salt (NaCl) in
accordance with DIN 19604 and DIN EN 973 Type A (purity grade).
The use of other salts (e.g., road salt, crushed salt) is not permitted, as it may contaminate the
system and cause significant damage. Please use regeneration salt exclusively.
5. Hazard Warnings
Risk of Electric Shock – Danger from electrical energy!
Always unplug the device before performing any work on it! In case of damage to the cable
insulation or electrical components, replace them immediately.
Risk from Water Pressure!
Before performing any work on the device, always relieve the pressure and shut off the water at
the mounting block. To do this, first close the outer valves, then open the middle bypass valve. If
no mounting block is available, close the main valve and relieve the pressure through a tap point
located as low as possible in the water distribution system.
Risk from Contamination!
Adjust the device to the actual water consumption to ensure sufficient flow. If the device is not
used for an extended period, it must be properly shut down by a specialized company. Under no
circumstances should forced regeneration be deactivated.
6. Maintenance / Service
The system should be regularly checked by the operator to ensure proper functioning. An annual
maintenance by a specialized company is recommended, based on DIN 1988 Part 8, to maintain
technical integrity.
Defects or malfunctions must be rectified immediately.
The operator must ensure that there is always a sufficient amount of salt in the system to guarantee
its proper functioning.
7. Storage and Transport
The system may only be transported in its original packaging. Storage must be in a frost-free
location, away from strong heat sources, and in an upright position. Pay attention to the
placement direction indicated on the outer packaging.
8. Installation
The installation of the system must comply with applicable standards and regulations.
For detailed step-by-step instructions on how to install the device, refer to page 15.
