Ensure that you have made all adjustments from points 8 and
9 before proceeding. Next, place guide support A (Fig. 18) on
the workpiece B (Fig. 18) and bring pressure roller C (Fig. 18)
close to the workpiece without touching it. Hold the machine
with your right hand over the workpiece and press the handle
button to start edge banding; the working pressure will be
automatically activated, and the edge will be transported
automatically until it comes out over pressure roller C (Fig. 18).
When the edge appears between the panel and pressure roller
C (Fig. 18), allow about 2 cm of edge to pass relative to the
C
A
panel, and press roller C (Fig. 18) against the edge and the panel.
The edge will stick, and the rotation movement of the pressure
roller will move the machine forward continuously (Fig. 19).
Before starting the edge banding process, adjust the speed
and temperature according to the difficulty of the work-
piece and the chosen edge type (see page 25).
Do not try to go too fast; maintain steady pressure on the
pressure roller and let yourself be guided by its speed. In case
of edge jamming, always remove it in the direction of the feed.
Never pull the edge backward, as the pressure roller and the
feed roller will become dirty upon contact with the already
activated layer.
To get accustomed to working with the PEB ZeroLine, we
recommend edge banding a few sample pieces, which will
familiarize you with its operation.
