RCMU Tests
The RCMU protection built into the charger will interrupt the charging process in case of detecting
type B residual current. To perform the RCMU test, you should:
• Initiate voltage in the station;
• Connect the vehicle simulator to the station;
• Connect the RCD tester to the adapter;
• Start the charging process using the simulator;
• Follow the instructions of the RCD tester while performing the measurement;
• Each time after RCMU activation (charging interruption, rapid red LED blinking), the charging
process should be terminated and restarted. The procedure should be repeated until the meter
completes the measurement.
Measurement of actual RCMU sensitivity:
RCMU = 0.5IΔn ≤ IΔr ≤ 2IΔn
where IΔn = 6 mA – rated sensitivity
Camera tripping time measurement:
The RCMU protection built into the charger will interrupt the charging process in case of detecting
type B residual current. To perform the RCMU test, you should:
• Initiate voltage in the station;
• Connect the RCD tester to the vehicle simulator;
• Start the charging process (slowly pulsating green signal);
• Follow the instructions of the RCD tester while performing the measurement.

Functional tests
Functional tests should be conducted after each installation
or service, not less frequently than every 2 years. The test
proceeds in the same way as the regular charging process de-
scribed in the Operation section. In case of errors, they should
be checked in the Troubleshooting section. Thanks to this, it is
possible to determine proper operation of the station.
PP contact – detection of the plug and charging cable
The charging station with a socket recognises the load capaci-
ty of the connected cable based on the resistor between the
PP and PE contacts. The table below shows resistance values
along with nominal cable load capacities.
PWM duty cycle measurement
By setting the appropriate resistors, the vehicle changes the signal voltage, indicating the charging station status. Additionally, this allows for the detection of several
incorrect situations. Table of statuses detected by the charging station.

The station's response to the following should be checked:
• Statuses A, B, C, E
• PP to PE short-circuit before starting the charging process
• Short circuit of the diode inside the vehicle
• LED colours indicating different statuses

Resistance between PP and PE is checked before the charging
process is initiated. In the event of a short circuit between PP
and PE, charging will not start despite the C or D status of the
vehicle. For the charging station with a cable, the cable's load
capacity is checked on the vehicle side in the same way.
