Installing the device
The installation is only to be undertaken by approved experts and general guidelines and local
WARNING
installation regulations should be observed!

Power supply / control system
The
TurboPUMP
pump control system must be installed by the trained electrician.
5.3
Installation / Assembly
In the case of degasing media as well as media with a high viscosity (> 100 mPas, according to
NOTE
the measuring method: Brookfield) this type of installation is not recommended.
Flooded conditions is a better alternative here.
• In the case of media which tends towards sedimentation, the base suction valve or the foot
valve of the suction line / suction lance must be mounted above the expected sludge layer.
• In the case of a free discharge point for the dosing medium, install a pressure control valve
or dosing valve immediately upstream of the end of the dosing line.
• Dosing is only permitted into a free discharge point.
• The
TurboPUMP
• The sum of the pressure losses of all downstream pipe sections or non-return / pressure
control valves must not be greater than 2 bar (0.2 MPa).
• When dosing in pipes with a vacuum, a pressure control valve is to be installed in the dosing
line.
• A siphon effect can be prevented by installing a pressure control valve in the dosing line and
possibly also a solenoid valve in the suction line.
• Suction lines should be kept as short as possible. Long and labyrinthine suction lines can
lead to accumulation of air in the system.
• The suction height must be a max. of 1.5 m and the maximum flow rate 0.3 m/s!
The suction line must always be installed sloping upwards towards the dosing pump.

is delivered WITHOUT a mains plug/control system. A suitable mains plug or
is not suitable for dosing of media in pressure lines.
TurboPUMP
is not permitted (max. duty cycle = see chapter 10.1)
• The dosing pump should be mounted at an easily
accessible, frost-protected location.
• The environmental temperature must not exceed
+40°C!
• The installation position of the device must be
horizontal.
