5. CUSTOMIZING THE EFFECT PROGRAMS
EDITING THE PROGRAM PARAMETERS
ach of the R100's programs has 4 parameters (Pl,
P2, P3 and P4) that can be edited to "customize" the
effect to suit your personal requirements. Programs in the
same program
category (REVERB
PROGRAMS,
for
example) all have the same four programmable parame-
ters.
Here's how to access and edit the parameters:
1. Select the effect program you wish to edit as described
in "SELECTING AN EFFECT PROGRAM" on page 6.
2. Press the PARAM button to select the desired parame-
ter. Each time you press the PARAM
button the next
LED indicator in the parameter series will light (Pl = P2
+ P3 »» PA + P1 ^ etc.) allowing you to select any of
the four available parameters for the selected effect pro-
gram. The current value of the selected parameter will be
shown on the LED numeric display.
See "THE
PROGRAM
CATEGORIES
A & THEIR
PARAMETERS," below, for descriptions of the parame-
ters available in each program category.

3. Use the 4 and т buttons to set a new value for the
selected parameter.
4. If necessary, use the PARAM button to select the next
parameter and continue editing as described above. .

press the MEMORY button to return to the memory se-
lection mode,

Note: Edited program parameters are retained in memory
even when the R100 power is tumed OFF. The
R100 contains a special long-life backup battery
that will retain the memory contents for up to ap-
proximately 5 years. If the backup battery runs out,
edited parameter values will not be retained in
memory when the power is tumed OFF. If this
happens, have the battery replaced at a qualified
Yamaha dealer or service center. -`
