THE MEMORY PROTECT FUNCTION
f you've gone to the trouble to edit the program
parameters and create your own custom effects, you
might want to activate the MEMORY
PROTECT func-
tion to prevent accidental alteration of your edited para-
meters.
1. Turn the power switch OFF.
2. Hold the PARAM, А and Y buttons simultaneously
and turn the power switch ON. The current memory pro-
tect status will be shown on the LED numeric display:
"род? = Memory protection OFF
"P1" = Memory protection ON
3. Press the PARAM button to select the desired memory
protect status. The LED numeric display alternates be-
tween "PO" and "P1" each time the PARAM button is
pressed.
4. Once the memory protect status has been set as desired,
· press the RECALL button to resume normal operation.
Note The current memory protect status is shown on the
LED numeric display for approximately 1 second
immediately after the power is switched ON.
INITIALIZING THE PARAMETERS

'his function allows you to restore all the R100's ini-
tial parameter and MIDI program change number
assignment values (i.e. the values contained in the R100
when it is initially shipped). See "The Programs & Their
Initial Parameter Values" on page 16.
1. Make sure that the memory protect function (described
above) is turned OFF.
2. Turn the power OFF.
3. Hold the RECALL, MIDI and BYPASS buttons simul-
taneously and turn the power switch ON. "—" will appear
оп the LED numeric display to indicate that the memory
is being initialized. The display will return to normal after
about 1 second.

Note: ТЕ you attempt to initialize the memory while the
memory protect function is turned ON, an "E7"
error will appear on the LED numeric display.
Tum memory protect OFF and try again.
