B U R N E R
The type of burner depends on the type of cleaner. The 'green burner' is a
burner that makes a higher efficiency. The burner provides hot water. The
temperature of the water is adjustable. The burner is double- walled. The
outside wall is air cooled by the ventilator lateral on the burner chamber. On top
of the burner one can find the burner mouth. The water supply and outlet are
both situated at the bottom of the burner.
Lime scale deposits while working at higher temperatures
The hardness of the water is possible expressed in French degrees (°F) or
German degrees (°D). The difference is noticeable in the following equation:
1 ° F = 0.56 ° D. For example, water having a hardness of 40 ° F has a German
hardness of 40 x 0.56 = 22.4 ° D. See the in your area prescribed hardness of
drinking water. Hard water can cause problems by means of lime scale from
30°F or 17°D.
When hardened water is now warmed / heated / or being pumped (or when
hard water comes in contact with air), this can cause calcification. Hard water is
caused mainly by the presence of two components: calcium and magnesium.
So the harder the water, the more chances on lime scale! When cleaning
with high temperatures (or at using heated water) , you obtain thus faster
calcification in case of a low hardness! This can therefore result in loss of energy
efficiency, higher energy consumption and reduced capacity of water supply
(including calcium deposits on the burner coil and other water connection parts).
We, DIBO NV, therefore recommend to decalcify the machines with a burner
preventive additionally and after use of hot water rinse adequate with cold
water (if possible) to ensure optimum performance of the machine!
2 P LU G / S O C K E T
The implementation of the plug/socket is country dependent. The machine
is provided from the factory without plug. The DiBO dispenser will install the
correct plug for delivery.
3 F U E L TA N K
The fuel tank can be filled with by loosen the fuel cap at the back side of the
operation panel. The tank is provided of an air releasing, suction conduit and an
return conduit on the top. The tank has a capacity of 27 litres.
Pay attention: during the filling, the maximum filling value of the
tank may not be exceeded (see "Technical Data" on page 30 ).
4 F LOW S W I TC H
The flow switch checks if there's a sufficient flow of water. As soon as sprayed,
the water flows through the flow switch. At sufficient flow, the burner will work.
There are 2 flow switches in the hotbox GK-E present, 1 for the hot water high
pressure line and 1 for the hot water low pressure line.
5 S A F E T Y VA LV E
If the pressure in the water circuit gets to high by unexpected circumstances,
the safety valve will open and the water flows away. Also here , there are 2
safety valves present. One safety valve for the hot water high pressure line and
1 for the hot water low pressure line.
