Warnings!
• During maintenance or repair, the heating unit has to be separated from main current.
• Never use the heating unit without water!  This can follow to the damage of the heating unit and of the pump.
• Attention: hot water can escape!
Monthly maintenance (or frequently if necessary)
• Check the water level in the container and if necessary fill it up until the middle of the level indicator (see page 21).
• Circulation pump must be bled. Attention! When bleeding, hot water can escape.
Maintenance before each winter season
• Before the first startup of the unit and before each heating season the pump must be controlled on its function
(running)
• Heating elements must be controlled and cleaned/decalcified, if required several times per year: frequency depends
on local water hardness and quality. Attention  the higher the temperature is adjusted, the more lime
deposits.
Cleaning of the heating element (procedure):
1. For cleaning purposes put the main switch on 0 = OFF and separate the heating unit from the main current.
2. Pull the plug of the heating element.
3. Screw out the heating element  screw the heating element out/in only at the hexagon steel plate.
4. Put heating element into a bucket with cleaner, or anti-liming agent e.g. vinegar essence
5. Let the anti-liming agent react  time for reaction depends on used cleaner and level of lime deposits (30 to 240
min)
6. Wash heating element with clear water
7. Assemble it in reverse order
8. Proceed to first startup of the heating unit (see page 21)
9. Dispose the cleaner in a environment-friendly way.
