Control System

Reaction of Heating Unit
• Circulation pump and heating element are off.
Control lamp at heating element is off.
• Circulation pump is running.
• Heating elements are ready for operation.
•  Heating unit starts to heat, when the return water flow temperature falls below •
the adjusted temperature.
• Heating unit warms up the water until the adjusted water temperature value is
reached at the thermostat (a desired temperature of return water flow is adjusted at
the thermostat, mounted on the return flow pipe) (see pos. 4 page 21)).
• Control lamp at heating element illuminates.
• After having reached the desired temperature, heating element switches off 
Control lamp at heating element stops to illuminate. If return flow water tempe-
rature is lower than the adjusted value, the heating element will be automatically
switched on again.
• Control lamp at heating element switches off. Security temperature switch
(STB) triggers. Heating element stops to heat. After cooling down phase  it is
necessary to switch on STB manually!

• Main switch stands on - 0 - position
• Plug of heating element is not connected
• Residual current device (RCD) is activated
• STB of the heating element is activated
• Flow temperature did not yet fall below the adjusted temperature (at thermostat of
the return water flow pipe)
• Water circulation is interrupted
• Heating element is out of order
• Too long water circuit (maximal length 200 m / 656 feet)
• Leakage in circuit
• Too big water consumption
• Too many drinking bowls are connected
• Insulation is damaged
• Check water flow direction of the non-return flap and of the pump
• Security thermostat has trigged. Once the the flow temperature reached the fixed
value of +40°C, the heating element turns off.
• Water is missing in HEATFLOW MINI as heat transfer medium.
• Main switch in - 0 - position
• RCD protection switch is activated
• Water circulation is interrupted
• Pump is damaged
• Air is in the pump
