At temperatures below 0° C make sure that your crane is being
operated with a hydraulic fluid which is suitable for such
temperatures.

Supporting vehicle properly
•
The crane must only be operated in properly supported condition.
•
Park the vehicle properly and apply the handbrake.
•
Ensure that the vehicle inclination does not exceed the maximum permitted inclination of 5° in
any direction. In certain crane models this inclination is depending on the number of slewing
gears, because:
Some crane models can be optionally equipped with one or two slewing gears. If they have
only one slewing gear the vehicle's inclination during crane operation must not be more than
3,5°. If this value is exceeded und the crane lifts heavier loads this can affect the crane
function „slewing". The crane will not slew back.

To determine the skewing of the truck a bubble gauge is adjusted on the crane.
With the bubble in the middle of the gauge the crane is in horizontal position.
If the bubble is between the two circles the crane's inclination is between 0°
and 5°.
The spirit level has to be adjusted on assembly of the crane on the truck.
•
Switch on the pump unit at lowest motor speed.
•
Let the oil pump around without pressure for a few minutes so that it warms
up a little.
•
You can accelerate warming up of the oil by moving a hydraulic cylinder to
the end stop.
