7.3 Faults and their rectification
with room air control RB-ZF4
See Chapter 7.2.1. for the rectification

Fault: Fans do not operate.
Fault message:
All 3 LEDs at the RB-ZF4 flash.
Cause 1
No
power
supply
Cause 2
Control circuit
board faulty or
jumper
incorrectly
plugged.
There is a
defined voltage
< 1 V on the
plug pins,
on the supply
or exhaust air
side.

Rectification
 Measure the supply
voltage to the supply
air and exhaust air
fan. (Terminal
(exhaust air/
supply air) on control
circuit board A2),
Chapter 7.2.2.
 Press and hold the
▲ button for approx.
5 seconds.
 If the fault is not
rectified, the fault
message appears
again after about 1
minute. If this
happens, replace the
control circuit board.
Rectification
 Delete the fault
message according
to Chapter 7.2.1
before measuring.
 Measure the supply
air and exhaust air
defined voltage
according to Chapter
7.2.2. This must be in
the range from 1 to
10 VDC.
 Replace the control
circuit board or
correct the jumper
settings.
Cause 3
Motor board or
fan is faulty.
There is a
defined voltage
of 1 to 10 V on
the plug pins,
on the supply
and exhaust air
side. The value
is dependent
on the set
ventilation
level.
and
Cause 4
Thermostat
TH 10 for the
protection of a
hydraulic re-
heating register
in the supply air
has triggered,
because the air
channels are
closed/blocked
or the heat
exchanger has
iced up.
Rectification
 Exchange "Exhaust
air" motor board or
"Supply air" motor
board.
 If the fault persists,
replace the exhaust
air or supply air fan.
 Reinstall the
removed motor board
first. As a rule, this is
completely OK.
Rectification
 Clean the air
channels.
 Deice the heat
exchanger.
