3.2 Product description
3.2.1 Ventilation unit
● Low energy consumption through electro-
nic volumetric flow control for a constant air
flow. Degree of heat provision up to 89%.
● Savings of approximately 50 % on electri-
cal power consumption through the "Plus
function" (summer operation with exhaust
fan). The "Plus function" can only be
activated with the digital RB-D1-ZF4
room air control.
● Fans, with particularly energy-saving
DC motor.
● Separate setting for the supply air and
exhaust air quantities for ventilation level
1, 2 and 3 are possible Air volumes can be
adjusted by a trained electrician through
6 potentiometer adjusters on the control
circuit board.
● Volumetric flow range from 150...660 m³/h.
The pre-selected volumetric flow is main-
tained even in the case of system pressure
changes caused, for example, by dirt in the
filter.
● The highest permitted resistance in the
channel system at maximum ventilation
power is 100 Pa. Increased resistance in
the channel system reduces the ventilation
power.
● Safety circuit breaker for the fans. Both
fans switch off automatically if the front
door is opened.
● Simple filter exchange without using tools
In the outside and exhaust air, each with air
filter of filter class G4. Also with pollen filter
of filter class F7 in the outside air.

● Frost protection monitoring. Prevents
the heat exchanger from freezing up at low
temperatures.
● A frost protection temperature sensor
monitors the temperature at the heat
exchanger permanently. The supply air fan
switches off if the temperature at the heat
exchanger falls below the preset frost
protection switch-off value (see also
Chapter 9.6.4). The fan remains switched
off until the temperature at the heat
exchanger reaches the frost protection
switch-on value again (see also Chapter
9.6.4). Only then does the supply air fan
switch back on.
● Plate heat exchanger: The supply air and
the exhaust air are fed through the heat
exchanger in separate channels for the
heat transfer.
● Summer cassette (option): The heat
exchanger is replaced with the summer
cassette during the summer months. When
operating with the summer cassette, the
outside air is fed into the rooms via the
supply air channel.
Recommendation: Only deploy the
i
summer cassette in combination with
pre-cooled outside air, e.g. through an
earth heat exchanger.
● 4x Ø 250 mm duct connections.
● ¾" condensation run-off connections.
For connecting a drain hose. The conden-
sation run-off must run into a siphon as
otherwise unwanted air is sucked into the
ventilation unit through the drain tube,
see also Chapter 9.4.
Further accessories, see also Chapter 11
● TH 10 thermostat (safety device). The
ventilation unit switches off if the tempe-
rature falls below the frost protection
temperature.
● Electrical preheating register, e.g. DRH 25-6
electric air heater, see Chapter 9.6.5,
connection option 6. As an alternative, the
ERH 25-2 electrical air heater can be used
for application areas of up to a maximum of
450 m³.
