Disposal of Flat Accumulators

As the end user, you are required by law (regulation on disposal of batteries) to
return all used batteries rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. Disposing of
batteries in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbols
shown to the left. These symbols also indicate that disposal of these bat-
teries in the household waste is prohibited.
The symbols for dangerous heavy metals are Cd = cadmium,
Hg = mercury Pb = lead and can be seen under the dustbin symbol.
You can hand in your used batteries at no cost at official collection points
in your community, at our stores or anywhere batteries are sold.
You will thus carry out your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of
our environment.

Troubleshooting

By purchasing the Lead Accumulator Charging Station CT-1500Pb and the CT-
8000Pb, you have acquired a product which is reliable and operationally safe.
Problems and malfunctions may, however, still arise.
For this reason we want to describe how to troubleshoot potential malfunctions:

Is the mains switch turned on?
Is the fuse defect (only with CT-8000Pb)?
Is the power supply (mains cable/outlet) OK?
- Check the accumulator plug for its correct position.
- Have you paid attention to the polarity of the accumulator?
- Are the contacts (of the charging set and/or accumula-
tor) contaminated?
- Is the accumulator depth-discharged?
- You have replaced the accumulators while the
device was turned off. This leads to wrong charging
capacities or discharging capacities (D) and can also
damage the accumulator!
- Due to the high efficiency of the device a
temperature rise is caused at the top or bottom of the
housing; a defect does not exist; ensure a good ventilation
- Turn the device off, wait 20 seconds and then
turn it on again.
