INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

A
ARNING:
unit installation and start-up must be entrusted to com-
petent personnel and performed in a workmanlike manner, in ac-
cordance with current regulations.
A
WARNING:
First installation ensure that:
1. The
place
of

installation

containing
the
device
stallation
and
maintenance.
2. The air inlet and delivery are not obstructed.
3. The hydraulic connections are positioned and dimen-
sioned as requested by the device. See figure from   p.  53.
4. The electric power supply line has the features requested on the
fan coil's data plate.
For each unit an (IL) switch should be mounted on the power supply,
with opening contacts at a distance of at least 3 mm and a suitable
protection fuse (F) .
WARNING:
A
Install the unit, circuit breaker (IL) and/or any remote
controls in a place out of reach of persons who may be taking a bath
or shower.
WARNING:
A
the EMC filters connected to frequency converters
(inverters) can create leakage currents toward ground (in order to
make the unit EMC compliant, by reducing conducted emissions on
power supply line). Depending on installation site, this can force the
cut out of the differential safety switch. It is recommended to install
a separate differential safety switch, only for the BLDC unit, with an
adjustable threshold for the cut out current.
WARNING: base unit must be protect by original packaging to
B
avoid demage at the worksite, before cabinet installation.
WARNING: keep the cabinet inside the original packaging until the
B
finally installation
Warning for ducted units:
The unit must be installed on the basis of design and technical con-
siderations, carrying out an aeraulic assessment and considering the
BACK PRESSURE offered by the PIPING applied to the outlet to avoid the
problem of failure to change speed: this responsibility cannot fall on the
product but on the installation;
Install the unit with the appropriate inspection hatches for routine and
special maintenance of the fan coils: for mechanical, electrical and hy-
draulic replacement;
4.1
INSTALLATION
It is advisable to install any accessories on the standard unit prior to
positioning the latter.
Install any remote control panel in an easily accessible position allowing
the user to set the functions while ensuring an accurate reading of the
ambient temperature, if provided.
Avoid therefore:
Ū positions directly exposed to sunlight;
Ū positions exposed to direct currents of warm or cold air
Ū placing obstacles that impede an accurate temperature reading
For installation and use of accessories, please refer to the relative
technical sheets.
Make the plumbing connections to the heat exchanger and, where the
cooling function is to be used, to the condensate drainage outlet.
It is recommended to connect the installation intake to the upper part of
the heat exchanger and the return to the bottom part of it.
Bleed air from the exchanger by means of the air vent valves (hexago-
nal wrench type 10) situated beside the plumbing connections of the
exchanger.

drain hose should be inclined downward, at least 3/5 mm; provide for
the correct drainage of the condensate drain pipe according to need.
In case of ceiling installation, in particular when the EDPH accessory is
present, install the unit with a slight slope (10 mm), in order to facilitate
the condensate drainage. 11.7 p. 57
The condensate discharge could be on left side or right side, at the
choice of the installer. Slope towards the chosen side, then close the un-
used side with the cap and place the pipette on the side of the chosen
drain.
Before switching the unit on, check that it is installed in such a way as
to guarantee the required inclination for proper condensate drainage.
B
WARNING: Do not use thick pipes or pipes whose characteristics
(i.e. corrugated conduits) may impede the condensate flow.
WARNING: tighten the hydraulic connections making sure to block
B
the manifold with the appropriate wrench to prevent damage to the
heat exchanger.
WARNING: The openable side doors must be fixed with screw, due
B
to lack of controls onboard the fan coil.
B
WARNING: For fan coils equipped with auxiliary electric heating el-
ement, ensure that any combustible material is at least 30 cm away
from the electric heating element.
B
WARNING:
In normal operation, particularly with the fan at minimum speed
and ambient air with high relative humidity, condensation may form
on the air outlet and on some external parts of the unit.
To avoid such issues while always remaining within the operating
limits envisaged for the unit, it is necessary to limit the inlet tem-
perature of the water inside the heat exchanger. In particular, the
difference between the air dew point (T
temperature (T
) must NOT exceed 14 °C, according to the follow-
W
ing relationship: TW>TA,DP-14 °C
Example: in the case of ambient air at 25 ° C with 75% relative hu-
midity, the dew point temperature is about 20 ° C and therefore the
inlet temperature of the water in the battery must be greater then:
Ū 20-14 = 6 °C in order to avoid condensation on a fancoil equipped
with a valve.
Ū 20-12 = 8 °C If the valve kit accessory can not be installed.
