4 OPERATION

4.1 Workings before starting up

4.1.1 Control of the screw connections

Control before every starting up the screws. When they are
loose you have to fasten them.

4.1.2 Control of the running direction

After connecting with the power supply it is necessary to control the running direction of
the belt. For this you have to start the machine shortly. When the belt is turning into the
wrong direction you have to change two phases by the phase inverter.

4.1.3 Correcting the belt deviation

For this you have to loosen the screw. Then use the hand
wheel at the position C to correct the deviation. Fasten the
screw again.
Before doing any attachment changes you have to disconnect the machine from
the power supply!

4.1.4 Starting/Stopping

Clap the cap behind, by pushing the
red button high.
Then the cap can be opened.
For turning on you have to push the
green button. For turning off you
must push the red button.
During operation the red safety cap is used as emergency stop switch.
Place attention onto the running direction of the belt
Do not hold the workpiece edge onto the belt in opposite direction of belt run-
ning direction! This could cause workpiece kickback
For longer grinding cycles you should dip the workpiece regularily into cold water to cool
it down.
