OPERATION

Horizontal Grinding
Figure P:
Put your work piece on the belt and assist with the
back stop to back up the work piece. When you
start the operation, beware of the safety of your
hands.
Do not push too hard on the work piece, the belt
works better without enforcement.
Edge and Curve Grinding
Figure Q:
Use the very end of the belt to help your curve
grinding as shown in Fig. Q.
Vertical Grinding
Figure R:
When the belt is in vertical position, use the back-
stop to hold the work piece or you can use ex-
changed work table position as shown in Fig.O to
aid your grinding. Refer to Fig. R.
Disc Horizontal Grinding
Figure S:
Put the work piece on the work table as shown
in Fig. S. Start your abrasive work. This operation
mode is especially suitable for small workpieces.
Bevel grinding from 0°-45° of work table
Figure T:
Your work table can do bevel grinding from 0°-45°
as shown in Fig.T. After adjustment beware to tigh-
ten the set screw in order not to affect your secu-
rity and precised grinding.
Swivel grinding of 0°-60° from left to right
Figure U:
Use the mitre gauge to work with the table and you
can obtain angle grinding from 0°-60°. Beware to
have the knob tightened after angle adjustment of
the mitre gauge.

MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION: Don't clean or do maintenance on
the machine while connected to the power supply:
Damages to machine and injuries might occur due
to unintended switching on of the machine! There-
fore: Switch the machine off and disconnect it from
the power supply before any maintenance works or
cleaning is carried out!
Malfunctions must be repaired immediately by qua-
lified persons.
Clean your machine after every operation with a
dry cloth from wood dust.
Change the belt and or the sanding disc when it
has worn.
Sanding Belt Change
Remove the Rackstop.
Loosen the belt by operating the belt tensioning
lever on the machine side.
Figure I: Remove the worn belt and replace it with
a new one! Place attention to install the new belt
in accordance with the indicated running direction
(with arrow) on the backside of the sanding belt.
Finally tighten the new belt by moving the belt ten-
sioning lever back and check for straight run by
hand.
Sanding disc paper change
HOLZMANN offers 2 types of sanding disc sys-
tems.
The first is the standard system, where the sanding
paper is attached to the sanding disc with adhesi-
ves:
Figure J: Loosen the knob and open the disc co-
ver.
Figure K: Tear off the old sanding paper, clean off
the remaining glue from the disc and put on the
new sanding paper, which you treat with adhesive
spray on the backside.
Close the disc cover.
Second System: Starting after Figure J
Hook and Pile - Attach the Hook Plate onto the san-
ding disc.
Put the sanding disc paper with pile backside onto
the hook plate - Done!
After having installed the Hook Plate once on the
saniding disc, in future you just need to open the
disc cover and switch the disc sanding paper.
