The distributed seed quantity per hectare is adjusted by the seed
distributor (Fig. 13) by moving the graduated slide valve accordingly
(F) with the screw staff (D). The positions of the distributor scale
correspond to the adjusting table values in the left column (Table
3 and 4, page 40).
DISTRIBUTOR TEST
Before carrying out the dosing test, make sure there are no
foreign bodies inside the hopper and the doser. Once the
distributor has been adjusted, a test has to be carried out to
check the correct seed distribution, as the table values are purely
reference values, owing to the diversity often found in size and
specific weight of the seeds.
Shut the slide valve sompletely with the seedhopper empty.
Add a small seed quantity (approx. 40 kg) inside the hopper,
adjust the slide opening of the distributor to a slightly smaller
value than the one indicated in the table and corresponding to
the quantity to distribute per hectare.
ATTENTION
Caution: danger hazard for doser: Set a lower quantity of product
only when the doser is rotating or when the hopper is empty.
Remove the bend under the injecting tube, and then attach the
collecting tube supplied with the machine (A Fig. 17) in the same
position and place a collecting container at the other end of the
tube (Fig. 18). Unhook the transmission wheel universal joint
and position it in the seating for the purpose, as indicated in
figure 20. Insert the handle provided and block with the release
pin. Turn the handle in the working direction and complete the
number of turns as indicated in the distribution table according
to the type of tyre used. To calculate the quantity per hectare (kg/
ha), multiply the harvest by 10. Of the value obtained is less or
greater than that required, open or close the gate by a few units
and repeat the test.

Once the test has been finished, fasten the curve again to the
injecting tube. By doing so, make sure that the curve flange is in
a balanced position with regard to the tube. Re-connect the
transmission wheel universal joint following the instructions in
Figure 21.
Example (wheat):
Requested seed quantity: 210 kg/ha
- a value between 65 and 70 is obtained from the table 4. As
previously described it is advisable to set the distributor opening
at a lower value, in this case value 65 will be set
- 20 kg are obtained from the rotation test
- this amounts to approx. 5% less than the requested value
- also increase the adjusting value by 5%, thus reaching 68
- 21 kg are obtained from the second rotation test.
