seed distributor does not move.
1) Check that in the operating position the indicator
on the stroke bar matches the centre of the slot.
2) Check that the planting depth is set in the same
manner in all the planting units.
3) Check that all the earth-opening coulter blades
have the same depth (distance between top and
plates).
4) Check that the spring-type shock absorber is
tensioned equally in all the planting units, and
that tensioning is not excessive (the element is
excessively unloaded).
5) Check that all the clod clearers are set at the
same height. If this is not the case, lift them.
6) Put the coulters on a fl at horizontal surface and
check that they are perfectly parallel with the
ground: adjust the third hitch, if necessary.
7) Prepare the soil thoroughly.
8) When working at gradients exceeding 20%,
planting may not be regular.
9) Raise the clod clearer: it must be set as described
in the instruction manual.
10) Replace.
1) Remove possible residual seeds along the pipe
or in the hopper: thoroughly clean the distributor.
2) As a general rule, the diameter of the hole must
be approx. half or 1/3 the diameter of the seed.
3) Always clean the discs and check that all the
holes are clear.
4) Move the door regulating seed supply upwards.
5) Install a seed agitator, especially if the seeds are
not coated.
6) Use anti-seize products to release the hub.
1) Check that the selectors are set equally in the
different distributors.
2) Check that the selector is matched with the cor-
rect disc (single, double, etc.).
3) Run a planting test and adjust the selectors ac-
cording to the actual working speed.
4) Check for excessive wear (cam plate disappears).
1) Check that the seed ejector can run freely and is
clear from clogging or residues.
2) Check that the ejector is matched with the correct
disc (single, double, etc.).
1) Clean all the air pipes; clean the fi lter; check
that all the caps are fi tted; check that the seed
aspirator cock is closed. Check the pipes and
ensure that they do not leak.
2) Check that the vacuum pump is operating cor-
rectly, the pulleys are tensioned properly and the
belt is in good condition.
3) Check the following:
a) belt tensioning;
b) revolutions of the tractor's power take-off;
c) air pipes in the planting units for breakage.
1) Check the gearbox ratios using the supplied
tables: if two gearboxes are fi tted, ensure that
they are set in the same way.
2) Check that the shaft is engaged in all the planting
units and is in good condition.
3) Check that the wheels are properly loaded (turn
the tensioning spring) and set at the same height.
4) Usually, the wheels immediately behind the
tractor's wheels have a different grip from those
rolling on the soil. Calculate the difference (per-
centage value) and set the gearbox to offset the
error.
5) Check that the chains in the wheel and planting
unit are in good condition.
6) Infl ate the tyres according to the values indicated
in the technical specifi cation table.
7) Reduce the planting speed.
