4. Set the stroke rate.
5. Set the mitre angle.
6. Set the stroke strength.
7. Turn the device on.
8. Wait until the device has reached its full
stroke rate.
9. Place the footplate on the workpiece.
10. Slowly move the device along the marked
line, pressing the footplate firmly down onto
the workpiece.
11. Do not apply too much pressure in the cut-
ting direction. Let the device do the work.
12. Before shutting down the device, switch it
off and wait for it to come to a complete
standstill.

Start interlock

For your safety, the unit has a start interlock.
• Only insert the battery when the On/Off
switch is in position "0" (OFF).
• If you insert the battery when the On/Off
switch is in position "I" (ON), the device
will be locked.
Move the On/Off switch (5) back to the
"0" (OFF) position. You can switch on the
device as described.
Inserting and removing the
battery
 WARNING! Risk of injury due to uninten-
tional start-up. Only insert the rechargeable
battery into the device once the device is fully
prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect battery
can damage the device and battery.
Inserting the battery (Abb. G)
1. Push the battery (28) along the guide into
the battery holder in the handle (4).
✔ You will hear the battery click into place.
Removing the battery (Abb. G)
1. Press and hold the battery release (27) on
the battery (28).
2. Remove the battery from the handle (4).

Switching on and off

Switching on
1. Insert the rechargeable battery (28) into
the device.
2. Set the stroke rate using the rotary wheel
(1).
3. Move the On/Off switch (5) forward to the
"I" (ON) position.
Switching off
1. Move the On/Off switch (5) back to the
"0" (OFF) position.
2. Do not pull the sawblade out of the cut until
it has come to a standstill.
3. Remove the rechargeable battery from the
device if you are leaving the device unatten-
ded or if you have finished working.

Transport

Information on transporting the device:
• Switch off the device and remove the re-
chargeable battery. Make sure that all mov-
ing parts have come to a complete stop.
• Remove the attachment tool.
• Always carry the device by the handle.
Cleaning, maintenance
and storage
 WARNING! Electric shock! Protect your-
self when performing maintenance or cleaning
work. Turn off the device.
You should have any repair and maintenance
work that is not described in these instructions
carried out by our Service Centre. Only use ori-
ginal replacement parts.

Cleaning

 WARNING! Electric shock Never spray
down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemical sub-
stances may attack the plastic parts of the
machine. Do not use any cleaning agents or
solvents.
