Setting the timeout
If a user establishes a connection with HardBoot view to a HardBoot system, the sys-
tem is locked for other users.
To make the HardBoot system also available for other users, the software sets the
user's time of inactivity. If the user is inactive for 120 seconds (default setting), the
software initiates an automatic termination.
You can adjust the preset time interval of 120 seconds to your needs.
How to change the preset timeout:
1. End the software HardBoot view.
2. Open the file HbView.INI in the program directory of HardBoot view with any text
editor.
3. The setting IdleTimeout can be found in the paragraph [System]. The preset value
of the setting is 120 (120 seconds or 2 minutes).
4. Enter your desired time interval in terms of seconds.
5. Save the document and end the text editor.
