Installing the HardBoot system

Optional: Installing a slave device HardBoot CCX

An optional HardBoot CCX slave device expands an existing HardBoot system. The
first slave device is connected to the master device HardBoot plus, the further slave
devices to the respective last HardBoot CCX slave device.
1. Position the HardBoot CCX slave device above (or below) the last installed device
of the HardBoot system.
2. Plug the supplied x link connection cable into the left x Bus socket.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to the existing HardBoot system.
a. If the HardBoot CCX that is to be installed is the first slave device, plug the
other end of the cable into the socket x Bus of the master device HardBoot plus.

b. If there are already one or several existing slave devices in the HardBoot sys-
tem, connect the other end of the x link connection cable to the right
x Bus socket of the last slave device.

4. The address of the new slave device within the HardBoot system is set through the
DIP switch 1 to 4 on the front panel of the device. If necessary, change the posi-
tions of the DIP switch to set the device address:
