Mandatory audits of the electrical parts must be per-
formed even on paid rental (hired) pressure washers.
In the event that the pressure washer is used for per-
sonal tasks, it is in your interest to have the electrical
parts of the pressure washer inspected by an electrical
inspector according to the schedule specified in table 2.

Inspect connection points and hoses for leaks.

MAINTENANCE OF THE CYLINDER
COOLING FINS
  Regularly inspect the cooling fins of the engine's cylin-
ders for soiling (fig. 10) and maintain them in clean
condition using clean compressed air (air pistol) (use
enclosed safety glasses and a respirator as protection
against raised dust, and thereby prevent it from ente-
ring the eyes or it being inhaled. In the event of heavy
soiling of the engine's fins, the engine may overheat,
and may be seriously damaged or a fire may result.

CHANGING THE OIL

(FIG. 11)
  Drain oil from a warm engine, since warm oil has
a lower viscosity (flows better) and also a short time
after the engine is turned off (approx. 15 minutes), to
ensure that the oil flows off the walls of the crankcase.
1. Place sufficiently large and suitable container under-
neath the drain bolt to capture the drained oil.
2. Screw out the fuel tank filling cap to allow air to
enter into the crankcase and then unscrew the oil
draining bolt from the crankcase and allow the
oil to drain out into the prepared container. Then,
lightly tilt the pressure washer to ensure that all
the oil flows out.
3. After draining all the oil, close the drain opening
using the bolt and tighten it firmly.
4. Fill the oil tank with new oil according to the
instructions provided above in the user's manual.
5. Screw the oil tank cap back on.
ATTENTION
y Wipe dry any spilled oil. Use protective gloves to pre-
vent your skin coming into contact with oil. In the event
that oil does comes into contact with skin, thoroughly
wash the affected area with soap and water. Dispose
of the used oil according to environment protection
laws. Do not throw out used oil together with municipal
waste, do not pour it down the drain or on soil, rather
take it to a household waste collection facility. Transport
waste oil in enclosed containers secured against impact
during transport.

CLEANING / REPLACING
THE AIR FILTER
  A clogged air filter prevents the supply of combustion
air to the engine, which results in the poor combus-
tion of fuel and the carbonisation of the spark plug,
cylinder, exhaust pipe, etc. In order to prevent sub-
sequent damage to the engine, clean the filter every
50 hours of operation according to the described
procedure, when used in a dusty environment
clean the filter every 10 hours or more frequently
depending on the dustiness of the environment. In
the event of heavy soiling or wear/damage, replace
it with a new original part from the manufacturer
(part no.: 8896351C).
The air filter is a consumable part, the replacement of
which as a result of clogging is not subject to free war-
ranty replacement.
WARNING
y Never use petrol or other highly flammable substances
to clean the air filter. There is a risk of a fire resulting
from possible electro-static discharge from dust.
y Never operate the pressure washer without the air filter.
Unfiltered combustion air will damage the carburettor
and the engine. Wear and tear caused in this way are not
covered by the free warranty repair.
1. Remove the air filter cover and take the filter off the
central shaft (see fig. 8a and 8b).
2. The filter has a foam pre-filter that protects the folded
filter against clogging by coarse particles. Gently take
off the foam pre-filter and then carefully wash it by
hand in a detergent solution (fig. 12), allow it to dry
thoroughly and then dip it in motor oil and wring it
out. A greasy filter has a higher filtration capability. It is
essential that the oil is thoroughly wrung out, otherwi-
se air will not flow through the filter. Use protective
water-repellent gloves
3. Clean the grooves of the folding filter using a current
of pressurised air from an air blow gun. Use enclosed
safety glasses and a respirator for protection aga-
inst raised dust. In the event of substantial clogging,
replace it with a new original one (8896351C).
4. Slide the foam pre-filter on to the folded filter and
ensure that it is correctly slid over the folded filter,
otherwise it will not perform its function.
5. Put the filter on to the central shaft and secure it in
place using a wing nut and then place the cover on to
the shaft. Check that it is correctly seated and finally
secure it in place using the wing nut.
