TURNING OFF THE ENGINE
y To turn off the engine, set the power switch (fig. 2, posi-
tion 10) to the "OFF" position.
•
ATTENTION
y Before replacing any parts, nozzles, maintenance
tasks and cleaning, always, for safety reasons, first
turn off the engine using the power switch and secu-
re the trigger of the spray gun using the stopper
against accidentally pulling the spray gun trigger
(fig. 2, position 5).
y Never transport or handle the pressure washer while
the engine is running!
y The angle of the engine relative to the horizontal
plane must not be greater than 10° due to the tilting
of the oil level in the crankcase, which would result
in damage to the engine due to its insufficient lubri-
cation.
PUTTING THE PRESSURE WASHER
OUT OF OPERATION.
When putting the pressure washer out of operation, pro-
ceed in the sequence of the following steps:
1) Release the trigger on the spray gun.
2) Turn off the engine, shut off the water supply and press
the trigger of the spray gun to depressurise the system.
3) Shut off the fuel supply by setting the fuel valve
lever (fig. 1, position 12) to the "OFF" position.

ATTENTION – SHUTTING OF THE FUEL SUPPLY
y When putting the pressure washer out of operation,
always shut off the fuel supply using the fuel valve
to prevent fuel from entering the cylinder of the
engine while the pressure washer is being handled.
If this were to happen then it would be necessary
to have the cylinder of the engine cleaned out at
an authorised service centre for the HERON® brand
(this is not a free warranty repair).

ATTENTION FROST RISK
–
y In the event that there is a risk of frost, dis-
connect the water supply hose from the pres-
sure washer, start the pressure washer, imme-
diately press the trigger of the spray gun and
for a period of no more than 10 seconds express the
water from the pressure washer system. The pressure
washer must not run for longer than 10 seconds so that
it is not damaged by being run without water.

VI. Information
about using
the pressure washer
y The distance between the nozzle and the surface that
is being cleaned has an effect on the power (pressure)
of the impacting water. The impact force of the water
increases the closer the nozzle is to the surface.
The water flow rate and the kickback pressure gene-
rated by the water flowing out of the nozzle can be con-
trolled by the degree to which the trigger of the spray
gun is pulled.
Do not use the pressure washer to clean objects for which
it could be expected that the effect of the pressurised
water could destroy, deform or otherwise damage them.
The impact force of the water can be affected by:
1. The type of nozzle that is used.
2. The angle of the nozzle relative to the surface that is
being washed.
3. The distance of the nozzle from the surface that is
being washed.
SHAMPOOING – USING A WASHING AGENT
y Application of shampoo is only possible with a low-pres-
sure (shampoo) nozzle SOAP, and it is will not function
with the use of a different nozzle (shampoo will not be
drawn in).
The procedure for shampooing is such, that the sham-
poo is first applied using the shampoo nozzle, allowed
to act and then the surface is rinsed off with clean water
using a high-pressure nozzle.
To achieve greater cleaning efficiency, we recommend
washing the surface with clean water using the high-
-pressure nozzle before applying the shampoo, and
then to apply the shampoo using the shampoo nozzle
SOAP, allow the shampoo to act for some time and
then to clean the surface using clean water with the
high-pressure nozzle. It is necessary to always wash the
applied shampoo off the surface using clean water with
the high-pressure nozzle.
For increased effectiveness when washing, it
is possible to use the washing accessories
described in the introduction of the user's
manual. The accessories are attached to the
spray gun instead of the front metal part. To connect
accessories to the spray gun, it is necessary to purcha-
se coupling adapter 8895231, otherwise it will not be
possible to attach them.
y Use only undiluted cleaning agents in the pressure
washer that are intended for use in high-pressure
washers. These cleaning agents have a lower lather and
viscosity. The pressure cleaner has automatic dilution of
the cleaning agent at a ratio of 20:1.
y Cleaning with the use of shampoo must not be carried out
in locations where the waste water would leech into soil
or contaminate water sources. Waste water with shampoo
must pass through a waste water treatment plant.
