Control Module ROBiPAK

1 Identification

ROBiPAK welding equipment is used in the welding industry and in the trade for collaborative robots. The ROBiPAK control
module provides the connection between the robot and the welding power source and consists of a PLC, switch, power
supply unit, network cables and the corresponding (preinstalled) software.
NOTICE
• If the ROBiPAK is combined with a robot controller, the integrator must fulfill the safety regulations found in
ISO 10218-2:2011.
• Certain risks can arise from operating the system without additional surge protection from the integrator. These risks
must be eliminated by integrating the ROBiPAK control module in a higher-level complete system.
These assembly instructions describe only the installation of the ROBiPAK control module and may be used only in connection
with the ROBiPAK welding equipment from ABICOR BINZEL. The following figure shows all of the ROBiPAK welding
equipment:

2 Safety

• Read the instructions in full prior to using the equipment for the first time and before performing certain tasks. The
instructions must be observed.
• Consult the documentation for the welding components.
• Keep the instruction(s) in easy reach of the device for reference and enclose them when passing on the device.
2.1 Designated use
• The device described in these instructions may be used only for the purpose and in the manner described in
these instructions.

• Any other use is considered improper.
• Unauthorized modifications or changes to enhance the performance are not permitted.
