4�1�5 Modbus Installation
The InSUS H60i offers a Modbus RTU connection that is
identical to METTLER TOLEDO's InPro 6860i optical oxygen
sensor. For correct installation, please follow the instruc-
tions of the control system. For programming. please follow
the information given in the "Modbus Programmers' Guide
InPro 6860i" which is available at your local METTLER
TOLEDO Partner.
The Modbus interface allows using the full functionality of
the sensor head including all Intelligent Sensor Manage-
ment (ISM™) functions.

Configuration

5�1�1 Sensor Head Detection

Note: Each time the sensor head is connected with a new
single-use oxygen sensor and diagnostic functions are
activated, DLI / ACT settings must be reset on the transmit-

5�1�2 Sampling Rate
Optical oxygen sensors do not measure permanently. Each
measurement cycle has a duration of approx. 1 second.
The measurement interval can be set to any value between
1 and 60 seconds. Please choose the appropriate setting.
The default setting is 3 seconds,

5�1�3 LED Mode
The measurement can be switched off if the system is not
needed.
When the sensor head is not measuring, the
LED is off. In this state the sensor head sends a constant
measurement value of −1 % air to the transmitter and the
transmitter is set to the "Hold mode". To configure the "Hold
mode" please refer to the transmitter manual.
Automatic switch off at high temperature
If the LED mode is set to "Auto" (default setting) the
head LED will be switched off as soon as a specific process
temperature is reached.
