Glue the flag 379 to the flag halyard 370. Glue the pennant 381 as shown in fig. 45 in the
folded fitting 380 from the etched plate. Fit the pennant rod in between before gluing, and
press the two sheet metal halves into a semi-circular shape. Carefully drill a hole in the
main topmast 194 and insert the pennant holder. Assemble the frame 384/385 as shown
on fig. 46, mount the position lanterns and glue it to the handrail.
The ships boat of this kit will now be assembled from laser cut sheets. Building this is quite
simple. Just place the parts by number onto the keel and glue. After the glue is dry, the
outside of the hull can be sanded easily. Plank the body of the launch 386 on the floor in-
side and outside as shown on fig. 47, fit the rudder, stick and eye bolts. The mounting on
the stern davit is shown in fig. 48. Thread the holding rope 394 through an eye-bolt under
the rudder tiller, thread the ends through an opening in the lower stern (fig. 7), loop them
over the launch and lead boom and belay to the cleats 56 and 60. The belaying knots are
shown in fig. 49. After gluing on the name plates at the side and the stern plate 395/396,
your „Karl und Marie" will be finished.
