9. START-UP

Insert the batteries in the outdoor sensor/s first and only then into the
weather station.

a) Outdoor Sensor

Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor's rear by pushing the
battery compartment lid downwards slightly so that it can be taken off.

Insert two batteries of the type micro/AAA with correct polarity into the battery
compartment (18) of the outdoor sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-).

Close the battery compartment again.

The outdoor sensor can be attached at the back or top with the included wall
bracket (19). Ensure that the battery compartment points vertically down.
The wall bracket can also be used as a standing base by attaching it to the
bottom of the outdoor sensor.
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. It
should be placed so that it is not subject to direct solar irradiation or rain/
snow, because measured values may otherwise be incorrect.
Also observe the chapter "17. Transmission Range" for setting up the outdoor
sensor and weather station.
Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would be
destroyed!
The weather station can receive and display the measured data of up to 3
outdoor sensors. Each outdoor sensor must be registered on a different
transmission channel!
The included outdoor sensor is firmly set to "channel 1"; this cannot be
changed.
The outdoor sensors available as accessories have a channel selection switch;
set it to channel 2 or 3.
