Start-up

4. Insert the connecting rod (22/1) into the lower
guide (22/2) on the snow ejector spout (22/a).
The snow ejector spout must be rotated so
that the spiral (22/3) on the connecting rod
fits into the gaps (22/4) in the snow ejector
spout.
Note: If the connecting rod cannot be moved
to the lower guide or can only be moved with
difficulty, loosen the upper guide and tighten
it again after installing the connecting rod.
5. Fit the washer (23/1) and insert the safety pin
(23/2).
6. Bend over the ends of the safety pin (24/1)
(24/a).
7. Mount the handle (25/1) on the connecting
rod (25/2):
Fit the handle (25/a).
Fit the washer and screw in the mounting
bolt firmly (25/b).

Fitting the lighting [620 E II only] (26, 27)

1. Fit the lamp (26/1) together with the mounting
bolt (26/2) from the front through the guide
bar (26/3) (26/a). Do not twist or damage the
cable!
2. Fit the washer and self-locking nut (26/4) on-
to the mounting bolt and tighten.
3. Connect the plug parts (27/1) for the lighting.
Secure the plug connection.
4. Recommendation: Fix the cable to the guide
rail with two cable ties (not included in the
scope of delivery).
6 START-UP
WARNING! Danger of injury from faulty
appliance. Operation of an faulty appliance can
result in serious injury and damage to the appli-
ance.
Operate the appliance only when it is undam-
aged and has not defects, and when no parts
are missing or loose.
NOTE Always perform a visual check prior
to start-up. Do not operate the equipment if the
operating and/or fastening parts are loose, dam-
aged, or worn.

Operating material

DANGER! Risk of explosion and fire. An
escaping petrol/air mixture can cause an explo-
sive atmosphere. Deflagation, explosion and fire
can lead to serious and even fatal injuries if fuel
is not handled properly.
Do not smoke when dealing with petrol.
Only handle petrol out of doors and never in
enclosed spaces.
DANGER! Risk of poisoning. The engine
exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide that can
kill a person within a few minutes.
Operate the engine only outdoors, never in a
closed room.
Do not inhale the engine exhaust gases.
Switch off the engine if you feel nauseous,
dizzy or weak during use. Immediately con-
sult a doctor.
NOTE Dispose of used engine oil in an envi-
ronmentally responsible manner! We recommend
disposing of waste oil in a closed container at a
recycling centre or customer service centre. Do
not dispose of waste oil:
In domestic waste
In sewers or drains
In the ground
NOTE Observe the enclosed operating in-
structions for the engine!
Before starting operation, the engine must be filled
with oil and the snow blower filled with petrol.

Filling with engine oil (28)

1. Unscrew the oil filler cap (28/1) and put it
down in a clean place.
2. Pour in oil through a funnel.
3. Check the oil level.
4. Securely tighten and clean the oil filler neck.
Note: Refer to the engine operating instruc-
tions for correct checking of the oil level.

Filling with petrol (28)

1. Unscrew the tank cap (28/2) and put it down
in a clean place.
2. Pour in petrol through a funnel.
3. Securely tighten the fuel filler cap and clean
the tank filler neck.
