Troubleshooting

If you are suspecting any faults, check the following once again prior to asking for repair work. If none of these cases is applicable or if the
situation does not improve despite your efforts or measures, the damage could be serious; call your dealer to fix the problem.
<Control Unit>
Symptoms
The HOME screen does not
appear.
An error code appears.
The Motor does not rotate.
Cannot increase the
rotational speed.
Cannot reverse the rotation.
Cannot irrigate.
Weak torque; slow
responsiveness in rotation;
takes time to stop rotating.
Dark screen.
No sound.
Causes/Points of checking
Is the power plug disconnected?
Is the fuse blown out?
Failure of the Power Switch
Refer to 9. Error Codes.
Is the Foot Control Cord
disconnected?
Is the Motor Cord disconnected?
Is the Safety Lock of the Motor with
Hand Control/Wire Pin Driver set to
OFF?
Is the Foot Control set to OFF?
Is the load too high?
Is the rotational speed restricted?
Is the setting for Forward?
Are there kinks, signs of plugging or
cracks in the Irrigation Tube?
Is the irrigation setting at 0% or OFF?
Is the Irrigation Tube mounted in the
wrong direction?
Is the Motor set at a low value?
Is the Control Unit set to a low value?
Is the Volume set at 0?
Countermeasures
Connect the power plug to the wall outlet properly (Refer to 3-1).
* If the screen still does not appear, contact your dealer.
Replace it with the fuse specified by us (Refer to 7).
* Be sure to replace it with a fuse specified by us.
Contact your dealer.
Refer to the column of Checks and measures.
Plug the Cord into the Connector of the Control Unit properly (Refer to
3-2, 3-3).
* If it still does not function, contact your dealer.
If the Safety Lock of the Motor with Hand Control/Wire Pin Driver is set
to OFF, release the Safety Lock (Refer to 5-3).
If the Foot Control is set to OFF, cancel that setting (Refer to 5-3).
* If the Motor still does not function, contact your dealer.
If excessively loaded by the Attachment or the Cutting Accessory, the
Control Unit activates the safety mechanism to stop the Motor from
rotating. Remove the root cause, and then depress the Pedal of the Foot
Control or re-push the Hand Switch/Trigger.
* If the Motor still does not function, contact your dealer.
Adjust the Speed Adjustment Area in the Main Panel to set the desired
rotational speed (Refer to 5-2).
Select the Rotation Mode Select Button in the Main Panel or the Foot
Control Button to switch (Refer to 5-2, 6-4).
* If the rotation direction does not change, contact your dealer.
Fix the kinks in the Irrigation Tube first and then use it. If there are
signs of plugging or cracks, replace the Tube with a new one (Refer to
3-6, 3-7).
Set the desired irrigation level at the Irrigation Volume Adjustment Area
in the Main Panel of the Control Unit (Refer to 5-2).
If the irrigation is set to OFF, push the ON Button displayed in the Main
Panel of the Control Unit or push the Foot Control Button to cancel that
setting.
Re-check the mounting orientation of the Irrigation Tube installed in the
Irrigation Pump. If the Tube is mounted in the wrong direction, remove
it and re-install (Refer to 3-6).
Re-check the setting of the Motor in the Option Set Up screen. If the set
value is low, adjust it.
Alternatively, return the setting of the Motor to the factory default (Refer
to 6-2).
Adjust the brightness of the background by setting up the Control Unit
in the Option Set Up screen (Refer to 6-1-1).
Adjust the sound volume by setting the Control Unit in the Option Set Up
screen (Refer to 6-1-1).
