9 Operation with a PC

Use a null modem cable to connect MEVAC-4 to the serial
interface (e. g. COM1) of a PC. Start the communications
program (e. g. Windows HyperTerminal) with the following
parameters (interface settings):

and other countries.

The keys mentioned in this chapter refer to the keys of
the PC keyboard!

9.1 Main menu

Once the connection has been established, press the key [i] to
call up the main menu:
MEVAC4

KEY 1 : installed components

KEY 2 : Audio level
KEY 3 : Audio and Relaisprogramming
KEY 4 : Misc. Setting
KEY 5 : Text input
KEY 6 : Errors (= indication of the current status)
KEY 7 : Factory Setting
Caution !! Delets all Settings

Settings can be made via the menus called up
with the keys 2 – 5.

Press the keys [1] to [7] to go to the submenus.

To select the value to be changed, enter the letter that is
shown at the beginning of the respective line. Use the keys
[ + ] and [ – ] to change the value; use the tab key [  ] to go to
the next value in the next column. To confirm and exit, press
the key [ENTER].

Attention: Sources for which no zone and no relay have been
activated will not be shown.

is shown at the beginning of the respective line. Use the keys
[ + ] and [ – ] to change the setting; use the tab key [  ] to go
the next setting in the next column. To confirm and exit, press
the key [ENTER].
