As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured

1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be con nected to the terminal in the plug which is

Warning — This appliance must be earthed.
If the units are to be put out of operation de -

for a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications
The colour cameras TVCCD-190COL and TVCCD-
190HCOL (high resolution) and the corresponding
power supply units are especially designed for use in
video surveillance systems. The one-cable technique
only requires a single coaxial cable for connecting the
camera to the power supply unit as the coaxial cable
allows both power supply and video signal transmis-
sion.
The cameras are weatherproof (IP 68) and are
there fore also suitable for outdoor applications. The
power supply unit must in any case be operated in -
doors.
When darkness falls (illuminance below 10 lux) the
42 infrared LEDs illuminate the surveillance area up to
50 m. If the brightness falls below 2 lux, the cameras
switch over to black-and-white reproduction.

4 Mounting
To find the optimum place of mounting, a trial run must
be made. For this purpose set the camera into opera-
tion for the time being according to chapter 5.
1) For removing the sunshield, release the central
screw of three screws (2) on the sunshield. Then
remove the sunshield from the guide rail back-
wards.
2) Screw the supplied bracket into one of the threaded
jacks of the camera and lock it with the knurled nut
(7):
for wall mounting into the lower threaded jack (12)
,
of the camera housing (as in fig.1),
for ceiling mounting into the threaded jack (3) of the
sunshield or – with the sunshield removed – into
the upper threaded jack of the camera housing.
3) Mount the bracket with the supplied dowels and
screws at a suitable place of the wall or ceiling.

5 Setting into Operation

1) For power supply, the camera requires a constant
current of 450 mA (also see label "Constant Current
450 mA" on the camera and the power supply unit).
When manufacturing the unit, this current has been
adjusted with the switches (17) on the power supply
unit. Prior to setting into operation check if the
switches are still in the correct position:
An incorrect adjustment may cause damage.
2) Connect the cable (4) of the camera to the jack TO
CAMERA (19) of the power supply unit. The length
of the cable is 30 m. It may be extended up to
500 m when using a high-quality cable:
Cable type
RG-58U
RG-59U
RG-6U
Max. cable length
200 m
