3 Applications

The set DVT-440SET serves to create a wireless
video surveillance system. It consists of four wire-
less cameras, a monitor with receiver and video
recorder and five power supply units. The signal
transmission and signal recording is digital. The

mains
cameras and the monitor are each equipped with a
microphone and a speaker so that the units can
additionally be used as an intercom system.
The cameras are accommodated in a weather-
.
proof housing (IP 55) and thus they are suitable for
outdoors. In case of insufficient illumination the
voltage.
cameras are switched over to black-and-white
operation and the 24 infrared LEDs illuminate an
area of up to 10 m approx.
The transmission range largely depends on the
local conditions. If there are no obstacles between a
camera and the monitor, it may be up to 80 m. In
buildings, however, it is reduced to approx. 30 m
depending on the condition of the walls and ceilings.

3.1 Conformity and approval

Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare
that the set DVT-440SET is in accordance with the
basic requirements and the other relevant regula-
tions of the directive 1999 / 5 / EC. The declaration of
conformity is available on request from MONACOR
INTERNATIONAL.
The units operate in the 2.4 GHz range. They
are generally approved for operation in EU and
EFTA countries and are licence-free.

4 Setting into Operation

When setting into operation, each camera must be
assigned to one of the four camera channels. The
easiest way to do this is before the cameras are
installed. Therefore, first perform the steps of chap-
ters 4.1 and 4.2 and then install the cameras.

4.1 Installing the monitor

1) Set up the monitor on an even surface by means
of the supplied base. The base can also be used
as a support for wall mounting. For this purpose,
fasten the base at a suitable place.
2) Screw the antenna (1) onto the jack (2) of the
monitor and place it in a vertical position.
3) Connect the larger power supply unit (26) to the
jack 12 V
Never connect one of the smaller power supply
units (25) for cameras to the monitor. It would be
overloaded.
4) For video surveillance via another (larger) mon-
itor connect this monitor by means of the sup-
plied AV cable. Connect the 6.3 mm plug of the
cable to the jack AV OUT (3). Connect the yellow
phono plug to the video input of the monitor and
the white phono plug to the audio input.
(5) and to a socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz).
