Danger: Risk of electric shock

Only connect the device to a socket outlet (230 V) with protective contact that has been properly instal-
led by a qualified electrician. Couplings and connecting lines must be splash-proof. Use only if the power
cables are in perfect condition.

The spray jet must not be directed at electrical or live components, the device itself or lines.

Sufficient distance and other safety instructions must be observed when working near live overhead
lines.

When working outdoors or in a damp environment, be sure to use an extension cable approved for outdo-
or use and to use a residual current device.

Protect the device's electric motor against direct moisture.
-
Store the device in a frost-free location.
Risk of fire and explosion

Working in areas with explosion protection is prohibited. The motor is not explosion-protected and can,
in the worst case, trigger an explosion in these areas during operation due to the resulting brush sparks.

Do not process combustible or flammable materials.
-
Familiarise yourself with the ingredients of the processed materials.

Read all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) and container labels of materials used.

Follow the material manufacturer's safety instructions.
-
A functional fire extinguisher must be kept available at all times.

Personal protective equipment (PPE)

When spraying liquid media, a spray mist is inevitably generated; the user and persons in the work area
must protect themselves against this with PPE.

PPE includes safety glasses, respiratory protection, protective / work gloves, protective clothing.

Depending on the material processed, special protective devices / protective equipment may be
necessary. Ask the material manufacturer for these before processing and read the Material Safety Data
Sheets (MSDSs).

Responsibility of the operating company

The operating company must ensure that

The device must only be used in the intended manner.

The device must be maintained in accordance with the specifications in this operating manual.

The device must only be operated in accordance with local guidelines and occupational health and safety
regulations.

All precautions are taken to avoid dangers arising from the device.

All precautions are taken for first aid care and fire fighting.
Organisation / Personnel
Operators

Before starting to use the device the operator must have read and understood the operating manual.

Only authorised and trained operators must have access to the device in order to operate it.

The operating manual must be available to the operator at all times.
-
The operator must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
-
Children, performance-impaired persons, and pregnant women are not allowed to operate the device.
