10. Troubleshooting
The multimeter was designed using the latest technology and is safe to use.
However, problems and malfunctions may still occur.
This section tells you how to troubleshoot common issues:
Always observe the safety information in these instructions.
Fault
The multimeter does not work.
The measured value does not
change.
Repairs other than those described above should be performed only by an authorised specialist.

Possible cause
Is the battery empty?
The HOLD function is active ("H" is
displayed).
Have you selected the wrong
measurement mode (AC/DC)?
Did you use the wrong measure-
ment sockets?
Is the fuse defective?
Remedy
Check the status.
Press the "HOLD" button again.
The "H" icon disappears.
Check the display (AC/DC) and
select another mode if necessary.
Check the measuring sockets.
In A/mA/μA range: Change the fuse
as described in chapter "Changing
the fuse".
